Associated Builders & Contractors of Northern California
Associated Builders & Contractors of Northern California (ABC NorCal) is one of the 69 chapters of the Associated Builders and Contractors, a national trade organization with over 22,000 members. The Northern California Chapter, founded in 1976, is dedicated to advancing for free enterprise in the construction industry through education, advocacy and business services. They train more than 300 apprentices yearly and represent close to 500 companies both large and small.
THE CHALLENGE:
An Elevated Profile for Growth
Prior to working with Mance Creative, ABC NorCal’s messaging lacked consistency and vitality. They wanted to improve their marketplace profile with the goals of increasing their membership and expanding visibility among potential sponsors and business clients. They were not experiencing the growth that they knew was possible given the wide geographical area their Chapter represents.

The Mance Creative team immediately started work with ABC NorCal to brand all of its print messaging. Event signage, social media posts, event programs, advertising and invitations were all rebranded with the goal of increasing membership and creating a renewed excitement among existing members. Mance Creative worked with ABC NorCal to design a monthly electronic Member Newsletter to keep stakeholders informed and engaged. Additionally, we created a custom Member Success Kit to help market their services and onboard new members. Since working with Mance Creative, membership and sponsorship have increased, and event attendance is up by 30%.
